Opened in July 2018, SoJu BBQ started with the dream of providing highly accessible quality driven Korean food to hungry Chicagoans. We only source quality proteins and serve them in the freshest and most delicious way possible. Servers do the grilling at this modern Korean eatery with delivery and catering options.
Chef Jake Lee is a Korean immigrant that is fulfilling his late mother's dreams of opening a restaurant. He learned to cook Korean food for his mother when she got cancer. Lee likes to add his own flair to traditional Korean foods. The name "SoJu" refers to both the Korean alcoholic drink (soju) and Lee's Korean name, "Ju."
